A living animal is considered to be an organic being that lives, feels and moves by its own impulse, with organs and a developed nervous system and is capable of reacting quickly to stimulus.
Any different condition, or under the following characteristics, will not be possible to transport:

Dead or stuffed animals.
Sick animals.
Live animals less than eight weeks old.
Pregnant females or with lactating pups.
Primates, ferrets and flying squirrels.
Animals with pungent or unclean odor.
Dogs and cats under twelve weeks of age.

Brachycephalic pets, having a bone structure with characteristics that make breathing difficult, have a latent risk of respiratory failure during transportation ,However, breeds not included in the list may be accepted provided that the cage is larger than normally required.
Availability of the service subject to the type of aircraft.
For the transportation of animals in danger of extinction, it will require the CITES certificate or a document that supports the legal origin of the animal.
Muzzles or punishment collars are prohibited.
Muzzles that cover the muzzle but allow the animal to breathe will ONLY be accepted for rescue dogs, police dogs, or military dogs.
Electronic or anti-bark collars are prohibited and must be removed prior to check-in.
Some species are sensitive to temperature, so the minimum range will be 7°C and a maximum of 35°C for safe transfer.
National destinations with restrictions for the shipment of live animals:
Your animal will be available for delivery 2 hours after the actual landing time of the flight; except for fortuitous situations beyond Aeroméxico Cargo that do not allow compliance with this time, e.g., strong storm at the station, closure of roads to vehicle traffic, etc.
If you wish to send more than 5 animals, contact your sales executive or an Aeroméxico Cargo advisor for evaluation and confirmation of acceptance.
It is prohibited to use sedatives or tranquilizers in cats and dogs, it is not recommended to use sedatives or tranquilizers for other species, since the effects of the medication at extreme altitudes can be unpredictable and affect the health of your animal. Contact your vet for more information.It is recommended that you exercise your pet immediately before checking in. Do not leave the belt inside the carrier.
Common Pets (Dogs, cats and other domestic animals)
Kennel Requirements:
Choosing the right carrier is one of the most important factors in reducing your pet's stress during travel. Purchase the carrier as far in advance as possible.
Veterinarians recommend leaving the carrier open at home with a toy or object your pet likes inside to get familiar with it.
We suggest that you do not feed your pet for at least 4 hours prior to check-in.
b. Kennel characteristics:
Make sure you have the proper kennel.
It must be made of rigid material with a solid roof and ventilation on all four sides.
Carriers with plastic doors or plastic latches will not be accepted. All conveyors must be attached with threaded side fasteners (nut and bolt).
If necessary, removable straps will be placed in the holes or the door to secure the conveyor and prevent escapes. Do not put locks on the doors of the transporter, the animal must be able to be released easily in case of an emergency.
Present clean packaging. If your container has been used before, it must be carefully disinfected or sterilized.
The dimensions of the container must be of the appropriate size so that the animal can stand, sit, turn around and lie down in a natural position.
Your dog or cat's head, including ears, should not touch the top of the carrier whether sitting or standing. If so, it will be necessary to use a larger conveyor.
The container floor must be leak-proof.
c. Prohibited / Restricted Carriers:
i. Conveyors made entirely of welded mesh, wire mesh, cardboard, or collapsible materials are strictly prohibited, as they do not comply with applicable regulations.
ii. Folding or collapsible carriers are prohibited due to the risk of collapse during transport.
iii. Carriers that have:
Sharp points inside or outside that can hurt the animal or the staff.
Doors made in such a way as to allow accidental opening from the inside or outside.
Cracks that may cause the container to break during handling.
Fans or any electrical device inside.
Doors or any other rusty part.
d. Meal
For dogs and cats, a single portion of 200 grams of mood must be sent. Firmly and securely attached to the outside of the conveyor.
e. Absorbent material:
The carrier must contain absorbent material in the bed. It is recommended to use towels, rags, or pieces of newspaper, if you use the latter, make sure that the ink is not toxic to your animal.
The use of organic materials such as straw or sawdust is not allowed.
Cat litter is not allowed.
f. Labels and Marking Required
Shipping documents for live animals must be attached to the carrier.
Place a label with a telephone number available 24 hours a day, in case of any eventuality; it should not cover the ventilation holesI.
If your animal can produce poisonous stings or bites, it is necessary to write the word "POISONOUS" on the top of the container.
If special food is required for your animal you must stick the instructions on the top of the container and hold the food firmly and securely on the outside of the carrier.
g. Age Requirements:
According to the age and weight of the pets, the following number of animals can be transported per container:
Roosters and Poultry for the Industry
1. Packaging:
Carton or wooden container.
The container must have handles and be leak and/or spill proof.
The container must have sufficient ventilation.
The size of the container must be adequate to the size of the rooster or bird.
Only one rooster per container is allowed.
Wooden containers will be allowed as long as the feathers of the rooster or bird are not exposed to the elements.
